What size and threads do I need to cut for a AR style FH? X-RH ?
There is but one language in the USA, English.

I just cut threads on my chicom mixmaster Bubba.  The die is a 15 x 1.  I started it with a pilot and it came out great.  I don't know what is available in 15 x 1 that looks like an A2.

Depends on the manufacturer actually, differences in diameter and thread pitch is common.

In todays civilian market you can find an A2 in just about any thread size you want I'm sure.

As mentioned, a standard issue A2 is 1/2-28. But, you'll have to machine the SKS barrel way down first. I did it on my current SKS bullpup project (see pic below).

Or, get a flash hider made for 30 cal. They usually are threaded for larger barrels closer to the SKS.

If you do use an actual A2 flash hider, make sure you mic the hole inside to see if there's enough extra clearance for a .30 cal bullet!

Put a caliper on it and if you got 14mm on it still go 14x1 lh. Then you can use any AK style flash hider!
