This was my first SKS, I have always believed its a non refurb, it does have the star on the stock very faint and also the 1952r
Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated, can anyone see why it wouldn't be?

Now that's a real looker. Certainly no expert opinion here but if all the markings on the stock are faint, it could be a refurb.

Yepper, I'm not seeing any signs of crossbolt stamps either. With that really faint Tula star I'm guessing the stock was scrubbed & restamped. Still a damn fine SKS. Nothing beats a Russian.

Lol, I've been looking at that one all day, I was leaning that direction from day one also. Kinda like a kid though. I have to agree, its all good cause I shoot the hell out of her.
She's still my first, and she is still a Russian
And I picked her up cheap.
