Title: My Khyber pass Martini
Post by: xtriggerman on February 16, 2015, 02:33:21 PM
Picked this up at a Fun Show in Knoxville last month. Tag was $375, I offered 250 and he took it OTD. Should have said 2 but I really liked the way the action worked and feel of the gun overall. The bore is fair at best and the chamber is way too pitted to be a shooter but I did manage to fire one Winchester 303 round in the thing but had to rod tap the shell out. Does any one have any info on those Brit look alike stamps? The crest looks like it was made for some towel head country but I have no idea who. Iv got some decent P14 take off barrels and was toying with the idea of copying the original barrel pattern out of the 14 barrel & making a shooter. Action is tight and very smooth. Handy little thing....

It's the manufacturing marks from the car hood they hammered it out of, if you straighten it all back out, it reads,  Packard Motor Car Company    rofl2

What an awesome rifle. You have huevos rancheros the size of watermelons, sticking your face behind it and squeezing off a round!
Is that entire gun built from scratch or did they piece it together with any actual Martini parts?

Watermelons? naw..... not really since I didn't put my face behind the gun at all (arms length, turn & look away), maybe golf balls....... but watermelons, no. :)
