I know the numbers are hard to read on the stock but the numbers are electro penciled on the inside of the stock to.
Looks like you got yourself a nice one. Where did you pick this one up at?

This is something I have never seen, could you post a picture of this?
It's an I.O. import from impact

Here's a picture of the numbers electro penciled on the inside under the barrel.
That beats anything I ever "helt, felt or smelt". I haven't seen that before now either.
That is a nice one indeed. I need to go and dig thru mine again.. I am pretty sure one of them had the serial in the stock that way but not 100%.
Would like to see if this is common or unusual so if any one has a pic like this post it. not sure why they added an A to it either? think1

I don't know of tons of examples, but here's what I've got in my files:
Very similar to yours (agrace is this one yours?):

Rescribed on the outside of mismatched stocks:

Other times you'll find other easter eggs inside like this star stamp, likely put there by the Chinese during refurb:

thanks running-man that's great. you learn something new every day. I'll have to check my other sks for number. >:( thumb1
This is fascinating, I've honestly never looked at our stocks this closely. I'll have to do that tomorrow.
