This thread is for all members to post up their Russian SKS45's to see if they qualify for inclusion into the RUSSIAN SERIAL DATA BOARD (http://sks-files.com/russian-serial-data-board/78/). We are continually collecting data here at SKS-Files to help increase everyone's knowledge of these fine carbines. You may notice that new, non Club P&R members cannot access the serial data boards. We are keeping the data collection boards accessible only to active members in good standing. We've had some real issues with obtaining any help from certain high level collectors outside the board, so we are going to require anyone that wants to see the raw data to be a Club P&R member of SKS-Files. For information on how to become a Club P&R member, please see: New Server Migration Information & Club Member P&R Status (http://sks-files.com/board-information/64/new-server-migration-information-and-club-member-pandr-status/700/)
The criteria we use to qualify the gun is simple: I need a minimum of 4 clear images of the Cyrillic S/N on receiver, the S/N and cartouche on the stock, receiver cover rear S/N, and the top receiver cover stamp/lack of stamp.
Something like this:

Additional info that could be very useful would be: when the gun was acquired (pre 90's, 92-96, 2013-2014), whether there are refurb stamps or mismatched parts on it, the import stamp (no need to include the 'real' importer stamped serial number if you don't want to), other images of the gun including the crossbolt stamps (if originally stocked) bolt carrier, gas tube takedown latch, receiver cover takedown latch, gas block, bayo lug, and receiver round/barrel lug areas.
I found this beauty this morning after cruising the web for a bit:

No reason to believe this is not an original stock as it is a 1956 (somewhere within this year they dropped the cartouche) and it has nice crossbolt stamps.
