Title: Winchester Hotchkiss model of 1883 in 4570
Post by: 100Acre on October 07, 2025, 10:38:33 PM
I haven’t done a bore or chamber test yet because I don’t have the ammo but I think this might be 4570. Anyway, I pick this up as part of that collection. It too has a really beautiful bore. I find it interesting that it has the lever action receiver, body shape, but is an actual bolt action rifle

Cool gun  8) even further afield from my collecting expertise.

I’ve always admired the millworker of lever action and many shotgun receivers. Like you, I find this lever-style receiver with bolt action operation fascinating. Nice score  thumb1
