Title: CA3 (FMP G3)
Post by: Ret-Sarge on June 09, 2025, 09:40:18 PM
Been wanting one, and with the recent sale of $649.99 with $30.00 shipping I had no excuse in not getting one. Well it arrived at my FFL today.

Still reading up and learning about these. Left hand bolt pull, odd and takes some learning. Stiffness of the bolt, swore I was going to break the folding handle trying to get the bolt back.

Figured out how to remove the plug where the bayonet adapter goes. Wow the adapters are/were expensive if you can find one.

First impressions, damn this thing is heavy. A little wobble at the handguard, but not too bad. Everything else seems tight. Sturdy beast that is for sure.

Cool. I like the original green furniture. Hopefully Century ironed out their QC issues.

I have a PTR-91 and agree that it’s a very sturdy design. A true full-power battle rifle!

Thankfully these are being assembled by PTR, Century just gets to have their name on them.

Nice git. I've got a Greek SAR8 cloned into a PSG1. Since I'm in Kali, I put a CETME fixed 5 round mag, HK bipod, 4X50 glass and it has Nambian furniture (or so I'm told), green with a wide vented HG. Mine ended up very tight, makes good groups with South Africa FMJ. PAX

Getting this has opened a Rabbit Hole as I now want other variations.......Thank God the house is paid for along with everything else!

This reminds me, I've got a CETME C parts kit that I need to have built.

CETMEs are very cool looking with their wood furniture  thumb1 That definitely needs to get built!

Here’s mine with a PA 1-8x LPVO. It reaches out for the steel gongs.

Got bit by to same bug courtesy of Atlantic Firearms at the same price.  Some of my parts like grip frame and the stock were in fair condition.  Got a new stock, grips and butt off of GB and grip frame and safety from HK Parts.  Looks like a new rifle now.
