Picked up 2 KSI imports with the west coast rail while I worked the west coast. Go figure. I already had one at home so I took the one that shot the best with open sights and decided to put a real mount on it. Echo1 hooked me up with 2 different drill and tap mounts. Of course I picked the one marked Ft. Worth being from Texas. I found an old gunsmith here in Kansas where I’m working to do the build. Turned out pretty good I think. Works as a shell deflector as well. The hi-lux has a reticle calibrated for the 7.62x39 round.

The last target was a cold bore shot at 50 yards.

Looks Sharp LMC! Did the 'smith have to drill and tap 4 new holes in the receiver or were they able to reuse one or two holes from the rivets holding the rail to nowhere in place? Either way, looks stout as hell. How's the eye relief of that scope work with your body size and the gun's length of pull?
He actually did 5 new holes. He moved the mount as low as he could and still have meat. The 5th hole is so I could move it back if needed. Eye relief is pretty good where it's at. Still needed the makeshift cheek riser. I'm 6' and lop is good. I used an extra ruskie stock that fit tight and kept the matching Chinese intact.
