Post by: Loose}{Cannon on March 28, 2025, 07:30:15 PM
Never heard of them but I saw a youtube video recently of a guy that bought two of them so I had to go look.  Pricey but I have no idea what they go for now days.

I’m not looking forward to it but I’m probably gonna be buying one at some point, currency conversion between USD/CAD has been really bad recently and I don’t see it changing soon. Just bought a Romanian barreled action and it was 4x the cost of the rifle in import fees and currency conversion and shipping. And that was only $180USD. I see albys pop up here every once in a while now but they are listed at like $3000CAD ($2095USD).

Here in Canada we never got Romanian, Albanian, or the big 3 so any in country were imported from the states.

Prices are inline with market for being an FFL. Probably slightly on the high side, but to be expected. I've heard some guys chatting about the dealer over on AK-Files as well. Had never heard of them before the last month or so.

I just sold a '68 with some minor trench art and mis-epd gas tube and piston, a little rough but matching elsewhere for $950. I think it's worth more but the market is fuzzy. I've had it for some years so I'm not complaining and it's rolling over into a very nice Hakim with bayo, sling and ammo  8). I have a pristine '70 left of 3 Albys. It's been humped, blued, some bits case hardened and refinished but I don't care on this one, it's a beautiful example and was the cheapest of my 3 at $475 last century. PAX
