Title: Hello from the red part of WA state.
Post by: Witchywoman on October 21, 2024, 09:44:32 PM
Hello all,

I found the site to get more detail info on my Chinese SKS and others I own. I used to moderate the old site AK47.net back in the day.Been a C&R FFL since 2004 and enjoy collecting. My dad got me into it when I was a kid.

Glad to be here.

Hi again, I gave you a welcome on your other post before I saw this one. If you don't mind my asking, what part of WA are you in? My dad was from Prosser. Also, one of our Mods is in the tri-city area.

I am in Moses Lake. moved here from Wenatchee 2 years ago. I go to Tri-cities about twice a year to shop. I wish we had half the stores your city does.

My dad used to split his time between Moses Lake and Sprague Lake fishing. Always loved that part of the country.

Greetings from New Mexico!

Apologies for the long wait for your account creation.  We had about 40 requests stuck in the queue.  Normally it doesn't get that high, but P32 (the admin GG mentioned is also from eastern Washington) hasn't been around much lately.

Glad to have you here!  thumb1

Thats really neat. I am a transplant from SoCal in the late 90s. I knew way back then that the state was getting bad, I could not own any of the rifles I wanted. At that time CA did still allow the SKS but they were sold with the bayonets removed, the mounting lugs still there. AK's, AR15's were still fresh on the shelves but could not be sold. I once saw a cop argue with a gun shop owner in Huntington Park, as to why he could not purchase an AR15, he was a cop afterall. The owner told him to get a dept letterhead, the cop walked out pissed. LOL I knew it was really bad then. Whats sad is the anti-gun damage done to WA just recently with Inslee and Fergusons 10+rd mag ban and the ludicrous semi-auto ban. Really stupid and naive people believed their lies and rhetoric and it passed I guess, or they did not vote at all.  I am glad I owned most of the so-called "evil" rifles I wanted before this unlawful $^$$ went into effect and I stocked up on so-called "hicaps" right up to  the deadline. These unconstitutional bans need to be reversed!

I'm still waiting for the day when Eastern WA and OR become part of ID to make a nice red state

I told someone a few weeks ago that we need to tell Olympia to shove it and join Idaho. Washingtonians in most of this state do not mirror the Seattle people in any way. most people outside the state thinks that this is a left wing stronghold. Its not. You have those corrupt monsters st the capital that instantly turn the state blue every election period. honestly I think the "steal" has gone on in this state long before 2020. I am convinced that they don't even count our votes but i still do vote.

Most Blue states are that way, just too much leftist population and leftist corruption in the big cities to be offset by the 'normal' populous.

Thanks! Hey its ok I grew up in that place but it was not as bad then and it made me kind of streetwise. I lived in Montana (Missoula) for a bit as a teen before going back to CA. I always had a plan to GTFO of that place and did. Yes, its very nice here.
