Title: Any thoughts on a 1929 Izzy M9130 or a 1934 Tula M9130
Post by: 100Acre on October 10, 2024, 12:23:46 PM
The guy where I’ve been getting these rifles lately has both of these rifles but he had them priced at some insanely high price. The other one he had was that eX sniper rifle that I pick up for $400. I probably could get the other two and they come with a sling and bayonets. The rifles themselves are in really good shape And they have matching numbers but I’m assuming they are refurbished matching numbers. One has the refurb mark on the butt. Sorry I don’t have photographs, but wanted to ask you guys opinions of what you think they might be worth? Thanks.

How much is 'some insanely high price'?  Russian mosins have seen pretty substantial price growth in the past 8 or 9 years.  Gone are the days of picking up XYZ gun for $250. While not priced like an SKS or SVT-40, they still pull in a fair premium due to essentially nonexistent US imports.

I assume the '29 is an ex_Dragoon. Those carry some more premium compared to later Izzy's. However Tula's somehow are valued more for Mosins  think1 So it's a wash probably. Assuming nice refurb condition, all matching, small import marks, market value right now for those is 400+ give or take. More or GB, slightly less for private sale.

The guy put $900 each on them!! I told him he was insane and that they’d never sell. I told him he might get $350 for them but i doubt he’d sell them to me for that cheap.

It will take many years for those to appreciate to 900. Good luck to him

He also had a price of $900 on that X sniper that I just got from him for 400. I imagine he might come down to 400 apiece but I was hoping maybe to do 350 if that but they’re supposedly still a bunch more coming, and I’m kind of holding out for those. I already have an ex dragoon and a dragoon. If nothing else comes about and he still has them, I’ll offer him anywhere from 300 to 350 apiece
