Title: 308 lower at PSA
Post by: bbush44 on January 24, 2015, 09:51:43 PM
I will admit I don't know jack about ARs, but if I would build one I'd like it in 7.62x39 (because that's the most ammo I have) or 308 just because who wouldn't want a semi auto 308.
Seen this lower at PSA and wanted to get some opinions on it.

thanks in advance

Not bad...  I still wanna build an AR in Grendel on a mega upper and lower with 18" freefloat blackhole polygonal bull.     :)

Side charged with magpul fixed stock of course.

Psa makes great stuff. I don't have any experience with their .308 line but my 5.56 is from psa.  I have read nothing but great things about all of their stuff. Ship times suck but who cares.  Best bang for your buck around.  I really like that company.

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and ordered one. It will be my first AR, but I'm a long ways from having a complete rifle.  Thought worst case it could be trading material if I lose interest.

I've been looking around at complete uppers, or buying piece by piece, and I can't find anywhere on PSA which upper works with their lower. DPMS or Armailite?

Adam since you have had some experience with PSA Lowers any help here?

Armalite does not work with PSA .308 stuff, DPMS does.  Psa lowers are proprietary though so you will need a psa specific lower build kit.

Again I know nothing AR, so what is the lower build kit for? The lower I ordered is complete.

Oh, then you don't need a lower build kit.  I assumed you purchased a stripped lower.
