No revelations, but at least he was careful not to make any wild speculation either.
Plastic could have been used due to a wood shortage :)) I haven’t heard that one before.
His 'intro to' video on the Type 56. "Bangladesh", I did not know this. Anyone have one?

14:07 into the video. I’ve never heard anyone assert that Bangladesh made the Type 56 under license. If they did, it’s otherwise a well kept secret, and no examples have ever appeared on surplus markets in the west. I’d be very interested in the source of his claim.
I’d give the video a B. There are a smattering of minor inaccuracies throughout the video, for example he calls the Chinese Type 56 RPD an RPK, the adoption of the spike bayonet at the outset of 1964 rather than mid-year, and the other arsenals adopting Arsenal 26 changes, which the clearly did not.
Reminds me of the old scuttle-butt about the DP and DB being designations for contracts to Pakistan and Bangladesh.
In general concerning the guy doing the videos, I simply found him to be a little hard to listen to. Just couldn't get all the way through any of them.
I was thinking DP/DB too GG! Some rumors never die. rofl
