I bought a 1949 SKS and it came with this sling. Very different from what I usually see. Any info about it would be appreciated.

Possibly a variation of the Ppsh sling?
I agree with BB. I’ve never seen one quite like that but it looks most similar to the typical Soviet submachine gun slings with buckles on both ends.

It's a custom made sling that started life as a PPsh sling. The metal clip that was added is has some similarities to the Russian RPD sling clips, also used on RPGs, I guess.
