I have this SKS which matches except for the stock. I think it's a Chinese stock. I put a spike bayonet on it and it wouldn't close completely . I'm not sure what country made it and I have attempted to find out but to no avail. Could one of you tell me who made this gun? Thanks

It's a Soviet Tula SKS-45 in a Chinese stock.
The spike bayonet won't close completely because, 1. the front ferrule is notched for a blade bayonet on your Russian SKS, and possibly 2. the Chinese bayonet handle is incorrect for the bayonet lug (part of the front sight base).
Nice. Any blade furniture and bayo will go far to have it "more" correct IMHO.
Scrubbed Russian laminate would be sweet looking. Like this guy (courtesy of Hotrod). PAX

Hey gunbb,
What does the top of the receiver cover on that carbine look like? Just curious as I don’t have access to the database at the moment (on travel).
