For my first post here, I wanted to share two of my favorite 91/30s. They are Finnish Captured 91/30s and two of my favorite Finnish guns I own. They are both 1939 Izhevsks. The first picture features one of my m28-30s as well as my first original matching 91/30.
Pic heavy so I am going to split this into two posts. The second post will have my newest matching 91/30. These are Finnish captured, but nothing was fixed or replaced on them. They were found fit for duty and stamped and sent on their way. It is uncommon to locate original matching guns like this. Usually at least a piece has been replaced. Also, a lot of times parts were scrubbed and renumbered. It is very likely that these are the same as when they left the factory!
Thanks for looking!

Very nice! thumb1
I don't appreciate Mosin Nagants like most others around here do, but to the clueless like me, those look like pretty nice ones!
Welcome to SKS-Files!

thumb1 Very nice! The true original matching non-refurbs are definitely in the tough to come by category. That's a nice set of Mosins you have there with honest wear from war time use 8)
Very nice... I get so used to looking at refurbs that it's to forget what they 'should' look like. thumb1
Thanks guys!
I can't even look at refurbs anymore. Mostly because of the billboard import marks. The only refurb I want is one of the PU snipers. I need to get on that.
I enjoy finding these rifles "in the wild". People think they are just normal refurb mosins. Pays to pay close attention!
This is another real treat on this site...getting to see these rifles! Very nice ugafx4, thanks for sharing.
Welcome to THE files.

I recommend it. They're a lot of fun even if they have been "all purtied up".

It is especially gratifying when you find a variant or otherwise special firearm that others have missed or don't appreciate. Good hunting! Also, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a post with detailed pics of your M28-30 wink1
Great rifles. Any interest in trading for a Sestroryetsk from which some schlub gouged out the interior of the stock?

With the Sestroryetsk market going nuts I probably could not afford it.
That's the way I like them too, and I like both of those a lot.
