Thanks Bruce. Yes, that Johnson is the nicest I've seen, and it came with a (real) bayonet.

The Winchester M1 Garand I picked up at my local gun shop in October 2021. It has a lock bar sight, but it's a Springfield Armory version. I already had three Winchesters, but for under 1K I couldn't say no.

Thanks very much HN! Those snipers really needed sharp eyes with the low power and limited field of view scopes they had to work with on the 03-A4 and other sniper rifles of the WWII era.

Thanks! I do have a dedicated secure room, and a secure closet, for the firearms. Militaria and ammo are located in a few locations around the house and garage…and I wouldn’t mind more space  :))
