Browsing armslist when o saw an add from my absolute favorite LGS. A quick call later and they put it on hold for me. For the cool price of $133 out the door with holster I just couldn't say no! To top it off, they had a 59/66 on the rack as well... All matching with tapco stock(original stock and magazine included) for $300 otd. I figure I can hock the stock for $60 and I have a $240 all matching yugo. It's now on layaway. 8)

Nice score! thumb1
Getting hard to find these anymore under $170 and yours came with a holster. I can only make out the 4 of the year stamp but it looks like a 1944 Tula, since the hammer inside the star was distinctive for that year (according to 7.62x54r.net).
I don't have one of these revolvers but it's definitely on my list. There are so many interesting traits: the longevity of service, the attendant history, the odd cartridge, and the unique "sealing" mechanism. 8)
You're going to feel like such a stud when you whip that thing out at the range. They're a riot to shoot!
Very nice scores!
I find the revolvers grossly under powered and awkward as all hell in the hand. But its a neat item to have.
Adam some people have all the luck, what a very nice double score!! If you're going to shoot that Nagant, how bout a range report?!
And a range report on that k98 that we haven't seen good pics of yet!

The k98 is still in layaway. Something happened and they now want $430 out he door for it (it was supposed to be $350). Undecided if I am going to leave it there or get it out. I only have $20 into it. I'll have to see how my funds play out for me. I have until the end of January on it.
As for the Nagant. Once I get some ammo I will definitely give a range report. I just had a FNH hi-power show up today so I am itching to get to the range!
They're jacking up the price on you after you came to an agreement with them?
Pardon my language, but it properly expresses my feelings- that's total horse****. I would never do business with that place again. What's their excuse? Yeah and let's see this HP!

Okay Adam, sounds good...this gets you off the hook! ;)
Refresh my memory for me.. Can you fire the S&W variations of the .32 cartridge in the Nagants? jd

32 s&w longs.... I have done it.
Hmmm. I can load those I think. I load 32 Smith and Wesson (short) for a little pea-shooter I've got, and I think I can simply raise the sizer die and do the long's.
I've been gonna get one of those old Nagants for awhile. I shoot a lot of DA pistol, and my trigger finner is pretty tough. I think pull on those is about forty pounds. chuckles1 jd
Definitely a heavy single action trigger...... :-\
you did good on the that one
