Title: Putting a bayonet on
Post by: SteveinUT on July 10, 2021, 09:38:41 AM
Hey all- Going to pick up a Norc commercial today and it's missing the bayonet. I plan on putting one back on it because it looks goofy to me without the bayonet. But, I've noticed some are held in place with a rivet and some with a screw. Does it matter which I put on it (functionally) or is there a way to identify which would be the correct bayonet attachment hardware? Otherwise, I'll just put a screw-type bayonet on and be done with it. Thanks!

Yes, after you get it in your hands you’ll be able to look at the bayonet lug. One side of the lug will be threaded if it requires the more common screw for the bayonet, if it’s smooth it’ll require a rivet.

SiU, if you end up needing a factory rivet, shoot me a PM.
