Title: pair of Rossi's (got a couple pics up)
Post by: hoopharted on July 02, 2021, 08:10:55 PM
well wanted a inexpensive .22 that i could keep back at the barn and landed on the Rossi R22 .22 LR , for $165 this lil carbine is awsome , allot of fun

but while i was there i noticed a Rossi .22  Mag , a .22 Mag SEMI AUTO!!!!!! had to have , always wanted a semi auto .22 mag , talk about a great rifle for $250

neither rifle has had a hiccup yet

The .22 Mag sounds interesting. Any feeding problems so far? I know you said no hiccups yet, but I always wondered how they'd feed in semi-auto. I wouldn't mind having one if it was reliable. I have a nice .22 Mag bolt action that's sweet to shoot.

Throw up a few pics of them if you get a chance!

i will grab a few pics today , i believe they both have free float barrels , the .22 Mag Semi i have right at 100 rds through ,feeds fine , .22 mag ammo  is hard to come by still and im down to my last 100 rds so its sleeping right now , it came scope ready , no irons

the .22 LR has a factory threaded barrel for a can , not sure who spends $600  to suppress a $165 rifle but OK  ,lol , but coms with standard florescent mono filament sights

That's great to hear. 22mag is notorious in semi-autos.

ive been looking for a .22 mag semi auto for decades , i think Remington and Marlin tried one but had feeding issues and they were short lived before abandoning them , they are like hens teeth , so when i seen this one , i figured for $250 i would try it , very happy with it

as you can see free float barrels , can slide a piece of paper all the way to the receiver
