I've butchered the name of the Izhevsk arsenal long enough. Does anyone know the correct pronunciation of the word, "Izhevsk"?

And, what about "Izhmash"? I've always pronounced that: is-mash Is that close?

I'm not going to lie, I was butchering the hell out of it until I met Svetlana. :-[
I use to put a separation between the 'Z' and 'H' sound, putting heavy emphasis on the 'H' sound. Made it sound like "Iz-Hevsk" :)) :)) :))
Mostly I just say Izzy lol.

I always said "ice-ah-vic". Don't know why, other than that's what it looked like in my head.
