Just bought a medium size unmarked box of sks ammo that has red tip, would like to find out what type it may be any help welcome.

It's best to post up a couple pics of the cartridge, especially the head stamp.

Is it brass or steel cased? Brass cased could be something on the line of a Hornady A-Max, FXT, or ELD product line. Brass or Steel cased from a military source could possibly be Tracer ammo.

It'd be interesting to see pics of the ammo and box it was in. How many rds in the box? Pics, pics, pics!
