Forgive me brothers for I have sinned. I submitted to the madness and I paid covid prices. I helped support this craziness. My flesh was weak and all that gun porn you are posting was to much to bear.
Here it is, RM, I think it's already in your database.

Is this the one you were asking about? How much did you give for it, if you don't mind my asking. Price may affect how much penance you have to do. rofl2
No, this is a different one. This one appears to be a not refurb 52. With all those nickel and diming fees ended up over a grand (not much more).

Ah, I couldn't make out the last number on the cover in the pics so wasn't sure. It's a nice '52 though and era correct sling as well. Has the stitched reinforced end instead of the riveted one.
Thanks! The early sling I picked up separately off eBay. I thought it deserved a nice sling.
That's pretty boss, if $pendy. PAX
Very nice.
beauty! all is forgiven.
Nice, CZ did you get off GB or auction?
There's something wrong with me.
I like the sling best.... Don't get me wrong. That rifle is a prize, too.
Very nice 1952, congratulations!! The price is not crazy nowadays.
That is a beauty. I love the original reddish Russian stocks.
Thanks everyone, sorry for poor quality of my pics. I really need to install new lights in my work cave.
Very, very nice, CZ!
Is it MT or ИТ? I have MT in my files.
MT,
You have this particular one logged already. I'd be interested in knowing its history.
I don't really have too much on it. Photos are from 2015 are are really small and poor resolution.
I found the old Gunbroker tracking thread that mentions it: https://sks-files.com/index.php?topic=1041.msg12699#msg12699 It's funny, this was the first tracking thread I did way back in April, 2015 after Blicero decided to pass on the tracking which he had done a few months after Boomer passed away.
Here's the entry:
475393599 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=475393599 Russian SKS Rifle (1952 Tula, 7.62X39) 6 $550.00 1952 Tula As-Issued Good MT313 Someone hit the BIN after 6 bids, the guy who bid the first 5 bids up to $400 should have done that. He's gonna kick himself for letting this one get away, it's a darn nice gun at a great price in good original/collectable condition (even if the stock has some scratches).
And here are the photos from the auction:

Thank you, RM! I should have done a forum search instead of asking stupid questions!
The guy who sold it to me said he is a collector who never shot it.

No stupid SKS questions around here CZ. Besides, it keeps conversations going a refreshes everyone memory on what's what.
Sweet now I need to find one of those.
Looks like the previous owner 'cut' a letter 'M' on left side of stock, right above mag?
It seems like it on those pics, doesn't it. I actually didn't notice it on the actual rifle. It has to be a faint impression. I'll take a look tonight.
UPDATE. The M is surely there but you can see it only at an angle due to the kind of glossy appearance of the finish. It's one of these things that sometimes are more apparent in photos.
It must have been comrade Molotov's personal rifle. I'm sticking to this theory rofl
Even back in 2015, $550 for a non-refurb 1952 was a very good price.
