Well this is one I threw a max bid at, and won, walked out the door at my max bid of 380, that included 10% buyers fee and 5.3% tax. Been a while.... ok, years since I bought a Mosin, I tried to quit... rofl2 but, in my defense, I fell off the wagon....I didn't have an M38.. :)
It's a typical forced match refurb, wearing an M44 stock, has the bayonet groove. It's a fairly common Izhevsk dated 1941, but not nearly as common as the M44, it has a really nice bore with some haze in the grooves, and numerous proof marks. Actually, it's one of the cleaner rifles I've bought, no grease anywhere, just needed some oiling up.

Nice one, GM. The last '38 I saw was way overpriced and not as nice. Glad you got a good deal.
Nice M38 at a nice price! thumb1
For some reason, M38s with good bores are less common. I suppose because they were in the field a lot longer than the M44s that only began production in 1943. Good grab! thumb1
nice! love mosins.
