I don't understand why some importer(s) are pulling the Russian's from the stack. Would not all the rifles be considered Albanian by origin according to ATF interpretation of the rule? At the same time I don't think the importer would do this without being forced to by another power. It seems strange the Chinese are allowed in but Russians are not.
Russians are a special case covered by the VRA. You cant compare Chinese origin guns with Russian ones, they are two different beasts. See the following thread to see why: Q: Why are Russian SKS 45 carbines no longer allowed to be imported into the US? (http://sks-files.com/index.php?topic=198.msg1871#msg1871)
The only retailer I know of that has pulled any sneaks is RTI which is the retail arm of IO. It would make sense that they would do this since it would help keep IO out of hot water with the ATF by showing they are at least trying to correct the 'mistake' they made in bringing them into the US in the first place. The importation of the Russians is the stickler here, the selling of them after they are already in the country has absolutely no special restrictions.
First rule about sneak club....... dont talk about sneak club. bat1 rofl
Im sure all the retailers (having received shipments befor the raid) are surely out of the sneaks, no?
