Too rich for me. I’ll keep my refurbished ‘54 Izhevsk with the mismatched bolt obtained at about half that price a few years ago. It has sentimental value anyhow, as I got it on a trade with Kevin.

I once thought about bidding on it. But after two emails sent to the seller asking about s/n on internal parts without getting any response, I lost interest.

To be honest, the final bid was not that crazy, in today's market.

Ya it seems In the last year milsurps in general have skyrocketed in price...... even pre-COVID..... I really think us younger generation guys DO have an appreciation for the History behind all these Milsurps ...... especially WWI and WWII stuff......

I keep hearing that when the older Collectors pass away there will be an influx of Milsurps to be had cheap because us young guys don’t care about anything historical.......  I also hear These Collectable Firearms are not good Investments and you should just buy them For your enjoyment........

I think both above points couldn’t be farther from the truth, Every year Milsurps climb exponentially in price ..... at least they have in the 11 years I’ve been collecting!
