Title: Saw a 1954 today
Post by: 100Acre on September 14, 2020, 08:04:46 PM
I went to a local pawn shop and saw a nice condition 1954r Tula but for $1000. Is that what these are selling for now? I'm wondering if I should sell my two 1950's..Geez!

Maybe on Gunbroker, but probably not locally. Unless it is a little extra special.

It would have to be a nonrefurb, unissued SKS for that price tag to be justified around my locale.  And, it would sit for a loooong time too. (probably until I bought it)
Different localities with different values and/or disposable income might explain the price tag.

As crazy as GB prices have gotten, if the pawnbroker looked up recent auctions, he may have paid too much on a loan, and has to reflect it when the pawn ticket expired.

shop probably doesn't mind sitting on that for awhile.
