never know what you may find
Nice find, I have a 1989 Yugo as you may have seen. If it was my S/N I'd be blowing up your PM's :) I have seen the manuals in English but not a log book.

I haven't seen your 1989. If it did match I would gift you this log book

That is very nice of you! While I have a manual I did not get a log book and would love to have the matching one.

oh man what a gorgeous rifle! Love my yugos. That manual is really cool
Just checked both of my Yugos, this book is in between them.
So guys, how did this book come to be in existence?
Why make a book in English?

Why make a book in English?
So you have a couple 1989's? We're luck to have them as not many are out there compared to other years. As to why in English; I'm guessing it had to do with the import audience being mostly American. Just a guess.
One is P 637461 & the other is E 94420.
Seriously, I just noticed that one is a 5 digit. I looked at the first 3 digits and looked again at the book.
So, whatever dates those are........
The E is in really nice shape, while the P has trench art and, well, lots of character.
Your E is from ~June, 1968 while the P appears to be in the S/N wrong range...might be that it's actually an R prefix and if so would be from ~Jan, 1980.
The C-723847 from this logbook (Z's happened in 1986, then they returned to A in 1987, B in 1988, and then C in 1989) dates to about 300 guns after the last entry in Glen Burton's old database: C7235XX, October 4, 1989. thumb1

Interesting.
I took a close look at the rifle before telling you that it was definitely a P.
The font is a bit odd to me. Using a flashlight, what I thought was a scratch/ding could well be the leg of an R. That leg goes straight down, kinda like it's hanging off of it.
The thing is that the box it came in, the tag that was on it, and my receipt all say P.
I'll change my file to reflect this.
Thanks RM.
