Title: SKS Suppressed
Post by: Mike M on January 02, 2020, 06:21:06 PM
I ran across this video, I would never do it, but it looks kind of fun. I am sure most of you guys have already encountered this, but if you have a few minutes to waste.

Thanks for posting that.  How much did the can suppress the rifle, I wonder.  He was still using ear pro, and the echos from the firing could be clearly heard.  Would it be worth it to suppress an SKS?  That said, I have used CNC Warrior products to mount flash suppressors and they worked great.

I kinda have mixed emotions about this supressor. You know what mixed emotions are don't yah ? Well, Mixed emotions are when your mother in law drives off a cliff in your brand new cadillac.  chuckles1  Other then that the gun is BBL Heavy and really not that quiet for a whole lotta work and money IMO.. Cool video though. I wouldnt want to get in a pissing match with that Ruski : )

Mixed emotions ??? how you shut the gas system up?? It still makes noise regardless whats screwed on the barrel. How do you deal with increased chamber pressures and blowback crud from cheap commie ammo? The only one that could possibly work is the Yugo M59/66 with gas system shutoff. To truly work, subsonic ammo would make it much easier and more effective.

Fer 200bucks.. I'd rather SBR my Vz.61 than try to shut a loudmouth SKS up.. :)
