Title: Closed Out The Year With a Norinco
Post by: Larry D. on December 31, 2019, 10:40:40 PM
Not just any Norkie....My old Norkie 1911 came home today.

I had given it to one of my boys as his inheritance several years ago. He mentioned he was looking for an AR, and, well, I sorta had an extra.....
It started out life as a plain Jane Norkie 1911, but was completely customized by a retired machinist to see if he could do a pistol before he tried going after his own Colt. Checkering everywhere, undercut trigger guard, NM barrel and bushing, magwell, sights, etc.
In years past, I could shoot this one like no other, so we'll see if I can still hit anything.

A Happy New Year to me!

What? No pics? You had me salivating at "Norinco" and drooling heavily by the end. Need.. pics.... drool2 drool2 popcorn1

Isn't that a law somewhere?  "You must post LOTS of pics when "Norinco" is clearly stated teased"... :) :)

That should be my resolution:
Figure out the whole picture thing. I swear, I've tried on just about every other forum, and I just can't do it.

Larry, when you type your text in the box look below the box. You see "upload image to post". Click that and then click "browse from your computer" and go to where your photo files of whatever you want to post are. Click on them 1 at a time or in a batch and then click upload and they will upload. Trust me this is the best/easiest site (IMO) to upload photos.

Then poof.....

your photos are now in your posts.

Hope that helps! Cause if you don't post no photos, as they say here, then it NEVER HAPPENED!!

Well, I tried about a dozen times.

Same as always, I just get pissed off and give up.

Followed instructions to a tee. Got the prompts. Can't select, copy, click and drag, or anything else.

Granted it's been over 10 years, but I was slapping a 36 x 36 steel plate with it at a touch over 300 yards.  As I recall, I think it was 4 out of 7 rounds. I was holding way over the target.....more like a mortar....
I have a habit of pushing the envelope with pistols to see what happens at longer distances. It's all for fun.
Given all that's happened to me in the last 10 years or so, I can't shoot like that anymore, but it's still fun to try.

Now that I have this mostly figured out, I can add to the database, too. It's about time I started adding my two cents worth to the photo selection around here.
I'll try to get that done within the next week or so.
