So, I've got a yugo and ever since I got it I've been wondering what I need to get to shoot a grenade with it. Can anyone point me towards a source for dummy grenades and what ammo is used? I've seen some crimped blanks online but don't have any experience with them.
Yes, there is blank ammo from PPU which is a smaller charge than a true grenade launching blank, so safe to use and probably easier on you and the rifle, but won't be calibrated to the sights on your M59/66. Dummy 22mm grenades from Serbia (left side of pic) used to be available (I got mine direct from a Serbian seller) but they've dried up, so ebay or gunbroker for those, if you can find one.

Repro practice 22mm grenades that take a tennis ball are available below:

M11A3 repainted grenades are available from Sarco.

I'm sure you can find others by Googling dummy rifle grenades.
Tennis balls.. rofl those are a hoot...till you loose them all and the ones you can find have holes blown in them.
Has anyone here actually fired one of the practice grenades from a Yugo 59/66, or any other Type 56 SKS? I've had several types of practice grenades and grenade launching cartridges for years now. For some reason, I can't get myself behind one of the things and pull that trigger? Besplode :o :)
I suppose I know the end result will be a bit anti-climatic, I just need to do it and live to tell about it. thumb1
Okay, I may do a video on this. (just in case it's my last effort) rofl
