Title: 1954 Izzy
Post by: jstin2 on April 20, 2018, 10:18:39 PM
Here are some pictures of my 54 Izzy. As per usual in Canada the magazine is pinned to 5 and not matching S/N. The stock was banged up a bit and I put some amber shellac in dents and then a coat on stock.

Nice carbine!  thumb1  All I can say is shame on the importer who pinned those magazines for not at least trying to keep them paired with their respective weapons.  It's bad enough the law requires you guys to alter the function of the mags, but for them to just toss a couple hundred mags in a pile, pin them, and then randomly grab one out of the pile to go in XYZ gun sure seems like they couldn't care less about collectors.

Early mag in a late gun certainly looks odd, but I guess you take what you can get.

I do have a extra later style magazine, but this is what came with the carbine. I noticed the early design and that is why I put a extra picture in. Paid $300.00 CDN or around $230.00 US, so I can live with the mismatched magazine.
