Boy that red one is flashy!

Is that a set of artillery sights in the box?

Yes that one gets some attention when I use it lol, it's 1 of 20 made by Sig for the then Canadian distributor  - hence the whole red/Maple Leaf Canadian theme.

The box contains a marine sextant - my grandfather's that has been over much of the world when he went to sea, no GPS or radars back then! :)

Nice set of 9mm NATO pistols and other handguns  thumb1 Great pictures!

My first firearm acquisition, just 4 years ago, was a P226 Navy. They are solid pistols.

Outrageously cool pieces of maritime and family history  :o  8)

Thanks! Both my grandfather and father went to sea all their lives, so I had to follow in their footsteps LOL, just retired from the Canadian Coast Guard after 35 years service. Now I have time to really start enjoying those pistols  :)

Those Ruger 1911s are nice...a buddy of mine picked one up. Those are so nice in my hands. It is on the short list of pistols for me.

I prefer metal over polymer, so I like the heftier 1911's - and yes it's one of those guns that just feels "right". :)

And it does it's part when I do mine: 10meters, standing, freehand

Thanks, concentrated slow fire to get those results - my IDPA drills are much less tidy LOL.  My old(er) eyes don't transition and pick up new targets so well *sigh*.

Thanks, taking pics (I don't dare call my attempts "photography" lol) is another small hobby of mine.  But since I'm here  :) , just recently had the GP100 out for some range time and it does clean up nicely...so another pic lol.
