A few yrs ago I talked my brother in buying a Chinese SkS from Classic. It was a cracked stock special from the loads of SkS's imported recently. Loaded with cosmo we disassembled it to clean and when I took the Firing pin out it was a Albanian pin. As you know they are different. I cleaned the channel and reassembled. It rattled just fine. We or he hadn't ever shot it til this past weekend. In the back of my mind was whats going to happen lol so we were prepared for a slam fire as we only put 1 round in it. ended up shooting about 40 rounds with no problems. Anybody know if there is a problem with doing this ?
Second question.. Where is the go to place for standard sks firing pins... Gunbroker ? Damn things are expensive.
I dont see an issue using an Alby pin in a chinese. No idea where to get them these days... sorry
I bought some Alby pins from Aim when they had all those spare Alby bits listed, they fit and worked fine in a Chinese I had with a bent pin. And even fit a Yugoslavian I tried..you know, just in case. :)

This is reassuring. Just wasn't sure since the Albys are a little differant. Ive also got several alby pins that I bought from AIM some time ago.. Now I wish I would have bought more. Thanks
Ill check out the liberity tree link tonight.
Try http://www.everythingsks.com/ , I used to pick up a lot of parts/accessories when I was living near there in Arkansas. Prices were reasonable and he had free shipping in U.S. His web site is down for work right now.
