It started life as a letter gun, D1911 as all the subcomponents are marked in this way. Receiver was scrubbed and subsequently stamped 01911. The FSB has been replaced with a late version and the bayonet is now a spike instead of a blade, but everything else including the long barrel lug scream early build for the original gun. I would not be comfortable assigning this gun to a 1990 build/import date.

Heck... just re-chrome it. Done. Mexican chrome shops here in TX can have that done in an hour for like $15
I was watching many of those auctions. I was pretty blown away at how much the green Parka Para went for. xxxsksjoe has said they are very rare, I just didn't realize they were that valuable. Good to know since I own one! It's my favorite SKS to shoot too!

Hmm,that's interesting. If the trend continues, I might have to see what my Navy Arms/Cowboy's Companion para might bring in. I've been thinking about streamlining the harem a bit :)
