The Polish Tantal is one of my favorite AK's
Be advised if your like me and like to tinker around and see how and why things work ?
Do not take the mainspring housing apart unless you do it inside of a plastic bag ! :o
A little steel ball shot out less the 10% of the size of a BB, my wife found it on the other side of the room stuck on the glue of a fly trap ! clap1
It's not fun to put it back together guys, use a plastic bag for reassembly trust me ! thumb1

You should go buy a Mega Millions or Powerball ticket Alfred, that was a moon shot being able to recover that ball bearing!
I think we've all done something like that where a part flies across the room (op rod & spring goes flying across the room in the RM household with more regularity than I'd care to admit) and thought to ourselves "You know, I probably shouldn't be doing this in this room" chuckles1
I looked for it for hours, then my wife walks into the room like the all knowing queen of the house and announces "I will find it for you honey" I said ya right with all the junk in this computer room books, parts and junk and your gonna find it ?
I said "Honey don't even try" !
Then she did like she always has done for the 31 years I've known her, she prayed !
I said not this time dear it's gone !
Not more then 2 minutes she said I see it !
I said where ?
She said it's on the floor stuck on the glue on the bug trap.
Oh boy ya gotta love a praying wife.
One of my friends here in Arizona said I owe her a nice dinner, he is right I do.

Huh, the story coulda ended, I didn't have the "ball' to put it back together... rofl
rofl Definitely a lottery ticket moment. Whats even better is say...10 years from now, you'll maybe not feel like taking the trash out or something else on the honey-do list and your ol'lady will be like..." remember when you just knew you wern't gonna find that precious part to your beloved Tantal?.....Well get to it dear" :))
