Title: Nambu
Post by: Loose}{Cannon on June 04, 2016, 10:01:31 PM
Always wanted a Nambu... School me on these critters.

Whats the good, the bad, and the ugly?  I hear the type 14 and 15 can be a pos and the 94 is dangerous because of exposed sear.   :-\

Any sertain years etc to watch for or whatever?

Sorry LC i don't own one or know anything about them.  Can't help on thi one.  I know I have seen a few on other foums as there are some collectors of these guns. I do however think of all the WII hand guns the Nambu was the ugliest of them all except maybe the Steyer Hahn.  The Stryer had its roots in WWI .

10-4 on the ugly! Someone had one for sale at the Cliff Hanger gun show near here in Lake City last month but I don't remember what they were asking for it. If I see it turn up at the show the 25-26th I'll photgraph it. As I recall this same guy had a couple of nice looking P08 Lugers, asking $1600 for one of them I believe!  ???

Even the enabler... kinda shys away from them :o rofl , #1 they is kinda ugly #2 ammo is iffy, hard to find and expensive #3 if it were so awesome, why did most Japanese officers choose to carry sidearms made in other nations i.e. Germany. No loyalty too there own design or native made piece.

The exposed sear thing, any military design has flaws, if your daring, a Luger, you can fire just the slide, no trigger assy or grip needed.
