Title: 7n6 5.45x39 Lawsuit; PW Arms vs. ATF
Post by: Phosphorus32 on April 29, 2016, 10:13:51 PM
Old news, but I just noticed this article about P.W. Arms lawsuit, filed in December, against the ATF over their classification of 7n6 as "armor piercing" ammunition.

"Redmond arms importer P.W. Arms Inc. is suing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives over its decision to ban ammunition originally designed for AK-47 (sic) assault rifles"

Up to the minute status...I imagine this will take a few years unless the Feds succeed in their motion to dismiss. Judge John C. Coughenour residing, a Reagan appointee  think1

When was the last time we ever regained liberties?  Never....  You have to now register your kids toy drone with the FAA for petes sake.

Once the damage is done, following attempts to undo tyranny fall on def ears.

Well, the WA state government did abolish the prohibition on purchasing SBRs about 1.5 years ago, signed by our Democratic governor, so sometimes it does swing the other way...

...of course the law school drop out legislators forgot to modify the paragraph preceding the new inserted paragraph allowing purchase of SBRs  doh1 The preceding paragraph prohibits the manufacture of SBSs and SBRs in WA, so we have to import SBRs from another state if we want one  rofl

Good question. I saw a figure of a $3 million loss but no idea what that is based on.

Its straight outta 1984....   Banning it because its "armor piercing" is like big brother telling you 2+2=5.    The answer to 1984 is 1776!!!
