I thought I saw like 2-3 HGs on broker last month... ?..
Or did they end the first week of this month?
They did not sell. One guy wanted $1000 for his, got a lower bid around $800 but it didn't sell. Th second one that I'm truly shocked didn't sell failed to even get something like an $800 BIN. No idea what's up with the market on these. I wish I'd saved the auction #'s on these two. dash2

Yeah I didn't see that but someone told me about it and I was astonished, that's not a lot of mark-up and they flew out the door a few weeks ago.
Most of the people who currently want one, bought one at retail?
Christmas is coming and and discretionary income is going to gift purchasing?
Nobody currently wants to pay $800 for a Yugo SKS, no matter how much bling it has? :))
Couple of weeks a go, they was 625, now they want a 800 to a grand....uuhhh no.. Even precious metals and oil don't increase that quick.
Like P32 said, Christmas/Black Friday is right around the bend, 80inch lcds etc... And anyone who wanted one probably got one, it's more of a specialty item that possibly has limited interest. If the interest and desire was really there, someone left out woulda dropped the coin for it.
Give it time, fakes will appear, given the amount of M59/66s available, like faked paras and such, bubba won't pass up a money making opportunity. And bubba can fake'em good.
Going to be a bit hard to fake one very well with multiple special features other then chrome.
Thats just it.....he has thousands of M59/66 rifles to practice on, and where there is a will, there is way. thumb1. You stuck a machine gun barrel on a Yugo, people hump the hell out of Garands and Carbines, even Civil War era weapons to eek that extra dime out of them. They even stamp and restamp stuff, with fake stamps. It all boils down to getten them $$$$$
Never underestimate bubba, he is the modern day Kyber Pass in moms garage in faking stuff, and even better equiped to do so than those guys in that mountain pass.
Welp they going to have to use a brand new unissued gun with the same import mark, chrome it, fabricate a wole new stock made of a completely dif wood incuding finish, delrin bayo stopper, buttplate, fabricate the sight covers, sling, and then perfectly fake the paperwork and log book.
How many fake sks have you seen? How much money would it take to do all the above things including price of unissued gun, and how much is can a sucker get taken for?
Faking sks carbines will bankrupt you......
Faked paras are everywhere, faked Polish even pop up, M59s rofl, just sayin..never under estimate the power of bubba when making money is involved.
Unissued M59/66 rifles aint hard to find, the wood, find a stock the wood grain close, which really ain't difficult, carefully refinish it, cause it aint teak fart1, the rest he can and will work out. Like a delrin thingymabob is gonna stop him, chrome shops, thats another easy thing. With the advent of HD printers and such, forging papers, books, its all possible.
After some time, he may spend 700-800 to do it, but if he gets a grand or more from some hard up gotta have it sap, a year or two later after it's all died down, he won.
And those guns are easy to spot....
I know unissued yugos are everywhere, but usually have a dif import mark and the price is what.. $550 to $600? How you gonna buy a $600 gun and put atleast $300 in it and sell it for a jackpot of $900.
Ill pass on the sks fake making theory.... No money in it.
Your mauser guys are buying a $800 gun and putting a chicken stamp here/there and getting $4000.

Ah, that's where I got sideways, I was thinking they went for 725$. Shoulda known better, that's not your typical mark-up.
They were $695 with free shipping.
