Title: Unusual Chinese prebans - early imports **PICS**
Post by: jjjxlr8 on September 20, 2015, 01:57:25 PM
First up...the Chinese 86S-7.  This is a very early Navy Arms import but lacks any import marks.  The only markings on the receiver say "AK47S 7.62X39 MADE IN CHINA" on the left side of the receiver.  I only know it's Navy Arms import by the marking on the original box.  These were imported in very small numbers.

Second... the Norinco 86S bullpup rifle.  This one has a low serial number - #159!  (Pictured next to an 84S-1 for length comparison)

Very cool rifles  8)

I especially like the Chinese RPKlone  thumb1  Looks like the Chinese went with a different arrangement of the bipod and front sight from the Russians.

Those are some awesome Chinese rifles! That 86S RPKS is a beauty. Something I want my NHM-91 to grow up to be someday. So, the box actually came with a drum magazine? How cool, is that?

The 86S Bullpup is something I haven't seen much of. Are those 20rd. Type 63 mags original to the Bullpup? Were they modified? Or can you use any Type 63 20rd. mags?

That Type 84S-1 is cool, too. Those 30rd. Chinese steel .223 mags are pricey, eh?

Really nice collection! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, the magazines that came with the 86S(pictured) are 20 rounders.  I don't know if they are unique to the 86S or not.

The 86S is an interesting rifle to shoot.  You can actually shoot it fairly easily with one hand because all of the weight is behind your right hand against your shoulder.  It feels weird placing your face right on the dust cover and you do get some soot in your face from the gas tube because it is slotted on top for the charging handle.  The 86S was my first bullpup rifle but is pretty much a safe queen, now, since I picked up a Tavor.  The Tavor is MUCH nicer to shoot.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

jjjxlr8, Any chance that you could relink the pics in your OP here? Those pics were of some nice examples of Chinese AK's and the 86S RPKS. Photobucket is way too touchy about moving or deleting ANY pics, in any folder. I learned a while back not to do that because it destroys the links to my previous posts, many being the OP in a thread.

Just hate losing great reference material! Thanks for your consideration, jjjxlr8!
