Just like the title says, I'm going to be tracking the new import from PW Arms Yugos that are currently being sold by SOG (M59/66A1), Classic (M59/66A1) and Dan's Sporting goods (M59).
The import stamp on these guns will look something like this:

I'd like to see the following info if possible:
- Receiver S/N (you may XX out the final one or two numbers if you wish, we will not be publishing exact serial numbers in the tracking thread.)

Please post up your new guns and help us refine the work done by Glen Burton back in the early 2000's.
Thanks!

Interesting, caliber varies from 7.63 to 7.65, so I wonder if it's the actual machined bore diameter or if it's usage on the barrel that actually causes that much difference.
A 7.63mm around .309, 7.65mm, is roughly a .313 bore. Pretty impressive, keeping tabs on barrel wear, kinda like the Swiss and Swedish.
One would think being unissued, or if strongly refurbed, there wouldn't be quite that much variance, but, good 'ol Commie cheapness, run it till it quits bat1. Kinda makes one wonder, at what point did they rebarrel or do a ground up refurb or did they just simply retire the weapon, in favor of the Ak weapon system..
Welp... There is a 7.66 on there next to a 5% and a 7.64 next to a 10%. They are also based on consecutive serials, and I don't believe refurb depos meant reserialization.
It looks to be a production tolerance/variation. I wouldn't think new barrels would all measure exactly the same. Tool wear plays a major roll in production and is the whole reason there is a tolerance in the first place.
7.64 is 10%, but a 7.63 and 7.65 or 7.66 are 5%... the percent must be for something other than bore size or wear, unless it's say, amount of the barrel that contains pitting or maybe throat erosion, something along those lines.
Could be how much cosmo has dripped off since last inspection for all we know.
I find the three bold words center/bottom with the middle being highlighted to be interesting. They read translated top to bottom...

This shows THREE methods/levels of storing the rifles whether it be...

Food for thought.
Bingo....

After double checking I have a 59/66A1 that I bought from cable's a long time ago. Right before they pulled them off the shelves after someone bought a de-milled and burned up their hand.
R-M, my M59 from Dan's is C-37025. The sight leaf is blued and it has the flat head crossbolt. I did notice the crossbolt nut on this one is round and the one on my Samco import is flat. Also, the muzzle on this is in the white and the Samco import is blued if that matters.
My M59 from Dan's is C-43231, the sight leaf is blued, and it has the round head crossbolt.
Here's the post.

About $100 appreciation for this particular gun in only a couple short months. Wow!
Wait... Don't the distributors still have these?
Yup, they have all the Yugos you can buy...
I can see a bit of a premium because it's a nice one, but man, most of the guns from the recent import batch look like this no?
Someone without a c/r and unable to buy from a dist muat have bought it.
There were three bidders willing to pay a premium over retail on this one ??? Remarkable
i thought the % of wear was for the over-all, the rifle as a whole. not just barrel wear. but not sure of that.

That's what I would guess as well.
I missed the barrel wear discussion earlier. 7.65 is really not bad at all. That's like a "1" on an American .30 cal muzzle erosion gauge.
