Title: Russian bolt
Post by: Justin Hell on July 28, 2015, 12:30:43 AM
Just got a good deal on a bolt for a project and was wondering...

This thing has 16 proof marks on the bolt...is that normal?
The bolt is BBQ painted, while the extractor is unfinished and the pin seems to be blued....is that normal?

It is bolt and extractor matching, and kind of filthy....I have never bought Russian parts before so I am curious.

Should I attempt to remove the BBQ paint?  If so...what is a good method?
