First SKS on the way! Actually; maybe two. But that's another post.
I know I overpaid; however I don't have time to look in local shops (and I am impatient!) and I wan't something "as-issued" or as close as possible. It's a 1953 Tula with a nice color and what appears to be pretty good condition. All numbers match and the stock numbers look unmolested. It will go nice with my "as-issued" Tula akm with original finish and wood. Will post pics in a few days.
Noice.. cant wait to check it out!
Good deal. Hopefully we didn't have (too) much influence in forcing you to buy that SKS. chuckles1
Careful though, 1 turns into 2, then into 4, and well you see where that leads right? thumb1

Answer: Exponentially increasing fun (and exponential decay of the gun fund)
Congratulations 56, we look forward to seeing it (them)!
Just curious if it is the 53' as issued on gun broker recently? If so that was a very nice example and one h,ell of a start for a collection, 53' is a harder year to find.
Congrats
Tony
I think we are referring to the same one. And thanks, excited to get my hands on it. I also have what I believe to be an equivalent 54 in the mail to me as well.
