Smart collector. By far the nicest one of the 8. thumb1
Is it my bad eyes and small phone, or does the stock not seem to have a S/N? Even w/ a replacement stock, that's a pretty 6 mil /26\! Nice pickup FL! thumb1
Cant tell
Wow! Nice /26\ 6m! Very nice!

I can't tell if the stock is missing a serial number from the other pics I have. I can say that the trigger guard and magazine are matching. I will have to look again to see if the receiver cover is. I may have jumped the gun on all matching now that the stock was noted. Missed that.
Bolt carrier matches too. But from the pics I gave I cant see the cover backing so fingers crossed.
I almost looks like they might have blurred out the number for that particular photo. I wouldn't sweat it, the sling swivel is correct, it really is agre at looking gun! thumb1
Might be blurred. I don't think it was intentional. The rest of the serial numbers in pics are quite clear.

Thanks. Can't wait for it to show up.
:P Tracking number received today. Worse than Christmas.
And it arrived a whole 3 days early. The stock looks to possibly have been replaced and perhaps the number scrubbed. Either that or it is very worn down. You can see where the number are, but can't make them out. The stock doesn't look like it was sanded. The bayonet also has a little bit of sag to it. Not sure if it was swapped out at some point.
All in all this is in fantastic condition. The internals are very clean and don't show much signs of use. Other than that, all numbered parts other than the stock are matching.
Features:
Bayonet: Blade
Bayonet Lug: Screw, Lightening Cut
Gas Tube: 1 Piece
Barrel Lug: Long, Threaded
Hand Guard: Wood
Trigger Guard: Milled
Rear Sight: П Marked
Rear Sight Base: Early
Bolt Carrier: Lightening Cut
Sling Swivel: Side
Pictures to come.
Can't wait thumb1 Congrats!

I looked at the area of where the stock # would be in the sellers pics very hard.... looked to me like the se ial was placed too close to the swivel and had been worn off by the swivel/sling while shouldered upside down. I have several with this wear mark, but the serials were just far enough away to not be effected.
Ok... def looks like there was a # there at one time. Cant make it out.

I've tried shining a light across it, play with the shadows and try to figure it out. It is tough.
Welp... best 1961 on record. Very nice. Can I use your pics in the guide?
