March Yugo GB listings.
Please let me know what you think (good or bad, I can take it thankyou1). Also, if you are the seller or buyer of one of these auctions and I've singled you out for one reason or another, and you simply don't like it, by all means call me out. I'm happy to revisit anything in here and correct the record if I've gotten it wrong. Condition designators are open to interpretation as well, I think I might be missing quite a few details due to the number of guns rising steadily from the Alby, Romy, and NVA/EG/NK style rifle sales... I'm beginning to see some severe limitations in the VG/G/F/P scale that means it may need some tweaking.

471673703 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471673703 Yugo Yugoslavian SKS 7.62x39mm Semi auto rifle 1 $389.99 M59/66 C (late) Uncertain Very Good Nice late C block. The tag reads "with soft (?)rown (??)se"? That's somewhat concerning.
471331412 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471331412 Yugo SKS 5966 W/Grenade Launcher Night Sights 14 $380.00 M59/66 G Uncertain Good Take note of this auction. If you have a special gun you want to sell, take photos and do the presentation like this guy!! What a joy to finally see an auction with some decent photos all the way down to both CAI stamps on either side of the barrel. I don't think his presentation got him tons extra $$, but it's the right way to do things. Kudos to highway14antiques!
472716227 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=472716227 Yugo SKS ALL SERIAL NUMBERS MATCH 1 $380.00 M59/66 Uncertain Uncertain Fair I saw the Mosin and almost had an aneurism, but then finally saw the SKS and realized it's not too bad a looker. Too bad about that mismatching handguard….
471853561 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471853561 SKS, NEW WITH GRENADE LAUNCHER SKS ALL MATCHING 5 $375.00 M59/66 Uncertain Uncertain Very Good Think this could be one of the IO 500? If it was, would it really matter?
474214556 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=474214556 YUGO SKS 59/66 7.62x39 7 $375.00 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Good Only gets the bubba because of the unnatural looking Stock refinish. That was probably a nice rifle before it was 'improved'. Still, it's probably a very good shooter and that stock does look almost new. It's really only the telltale Yugo S/N on it gives it away.
469392461 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=469392461 KBI Yugo SKS 7.62x39 1970's No Reserve 19 $365.00 M59/66 O Force-Matched Fair O block, not a terrible gun for the money I guess. I just noticed that the KBI import stamp is different from the later laser etched imports, interesting.
472406438 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=472406438 SKS 7.62 X 39 with bayonet 20 $361.00 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Fair Does this banana magazine make me look fat?
475468804 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=475468804 SKS RIFLE 59/66 YUGO 7.62X39 grip rail laser mag 1 $360.00 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Fair I cringe when I see the words SKS and laser in anyone's title.
474089504 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=474089504 Yugo Model 59 SKS 4 $360.00 M59 C Force-Matched Fair Decent enough M59. Dark finish on the wood, nice bayo.
471855960 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471855960 SKS Model 59/66 Yugo 7.62x39 1 $360.00 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Fair Not much to say about this one….
471685772 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471685772 YUGO 59 SKS 5 $351.00 M59 C Force-Matched Fair Not sure where this guy gets his information that "SKSs can never be imported again." Maybe just trying to talk up his own auction, but that is 100% not true. At any rate, a decent early C block M59, though whoever 'cleaned' that bayo to make it shiny needs taken out behind the woodshed and beaten.
474020691 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=474020691 Zastava M59/66 SKS 29 $351.00 M59/66 G All-Matching Good These penny auctions sure can amass quite a few bids! Not a horrible example here, good G block gun.
473927095 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=473927095 Yugoslavian CAI M59/66 SKS 7.62x39 W/ Bayonet 14 $350.00 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Fair Man that sure looks like a Beech Stock to me. Seller says S/N's, including stock match, but unless they photoshopped the number out, I don't see one on the stock???
469986776 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=469986776 CAI Yugo SKS Semi-Auto Rifle 59/66A1 7.62x39 19 $345.00 M59/66 H Bubba Fair Ever wonder how Tapco got the nickname "Crapco"? This gun should make you understand! :)
472046236 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=472046236 Yugo SKS 7.62x39 w/Bayonet Very Accurate CR 4 $345.00 M59/66 Uncertain Uncertain Fair Decent enough gun, but it's hard to pull the trigger based on 4 wide view photos
471182072 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471182072 Yugoslavia Type 59 SKS Rifle 1 $339.00 M59 C Non-Matching Fair I think one of our members snagged this one. This one is the steal of the month in the Yugo section, even in mismatched condition. Heck of a decent M59 and the stock decal only adds to the intrigue.
470545611 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=470545611 Yugoslavian SKS M59 7.62x39 GOOD CONDITION! 13 $330.00 M59 Uncertain Bubba Fair Does this banana magazine make me look fat?
472967431 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=472967431 SKS 7.62x39 Yugo Rifle 59/66 Folding Stock 1 $299.99 M59/66 Uncertain Bubba Uncertain I have nightmares of Combat Exchange stocks in my sleep sometimes.
471814219 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=471814219 SAMCO ZCZ Yugo M59/66A1 SKS 7.62x39 Non Match 1 $275.00 M59/66 O Non-Matching Fair Mixmaster, about as good as you'll do for a shooter though.
472579112 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=472579112 SKS M59 YUGO NOT AK47 CHEAP 2 $275.00 M59 Uncertain Bubba Fair Matching Serial Number. Yes I said 'number' because the receiver is about the last S/N'd part that bubba hasn't gone full retard on with this one. I lie, there are a magazine and receiver cover floating about in the photos, but what's with the rust at the end of the barrel? Just because your name is Rust Armament doesn't mean you have to sell rusty SKS's!
Good gravy man! That's a lot of work. Nice job! thumb1
7 bills is a bit crazy to me too. Of course my only Yugo is a $200 mixmaster rofl
seven bills :o

That's not Bill. But he is a genius. I'm going to start displaying my face alongside my gun in auction presentations. Sexiness + firepower = money. See you in the French Riviera, peons.
He reminds me of another guy who slung a bunch of guns on a forum trader. He took pics on a webcam while holding up the guns. The funny part was he was always making these strained, tense faces, as if he were splitting atoms trying to get that webcam to snap a shot. When you viewed the photos as a slideshow it played out like a bad flipbook animation of goofy faces.
Who wouldnt buy a Yugo from Santa?
you're doing this every month?!
You crazy, good stuff though, I like alot

That's hilarious. If pic 3 had been on a table it would have been a great "Kilroy was here" shot.
Now this guy has a different approach to marketing. Too bad it's been pimp shined (not a Yugo). His marketing isn't helping though, it appears.

We'll see how long I can keep it up. I hosed myself by changing the condition designators midstream so I'm having to go back and change my spreadsheet to accommodate the new designators. I'm making the spreadsheet automatic though, all I need to do is import the entire month's GB listings (takes about 10 minutes) and then from there sort and categorize. I'm hoping that future months are a breeze.
I haven't put up ending summaries of each country yet either. Eventually it'll automatically calculate the average of each different condition, (which is what Boomer and Kevin used to do) and maybe indicate the high and low guns with a different color or something. The key is reducing the manual input to minimal levels. I may not be able to keep up the 'RM notes' for each and every gun, or I may have to drop the Chinese section entirely as it has something like 155 guns at the moment. Doing just the Russians or just the Yugos should be a piece of cake though...
I'm thinking about dropping the image of the spreadsheet and just going with the PDF and the pasted (albeit hard to read) text). The image is impossible to easily read, you can't click the links, and it seems redundant and worthless.
Ya lost me at condition designators. :-X Regardless, I'm sure you'll do a great job.
Always nice to see the going prices. Really wish I was around in the 90's to buy these when they were cheap. Prices just keepa risin'
Sounds like you've got a good system going RM.
Need one of those fancy text recognition algorithms from the NSA. I'm sure they'd share it :o Actually, Google's system is probably a lot better rofl
Welcome back RM thanks for all the work you've put into that. I didn't keep up my watch list real well after buying in the middle of the month I slacked for a while, so I had missed some of those. I did buy the M59 you referred to and I like it fine, the bore is hazed with still decent rifling.
I keep forgetting to mention (even forgot to put it in my pics) this rifle had a crack in the stock right behind the top cover. It doesn't run too far and there is a spot on the side of the stock that may be a repair attempt, possibly a wood dowel driven in. I wanted to get that out there in the interest of honest evaluation of the worth of the deal, and I'll add pics of it in my post asap.
Next month will have a 683 $ Cherry's that went a couple of days ago, and I think maybe 1 or 2 others since have gone mid to upper 500 range.
37 guns this month. Avg. right at $400, low of $275, and a high of $699. Lots of spread in the yugos, they are hard to judge via online auctions.

Yeah... yugos are hard to put a thumb on as to where any given price will land. :-*q
