Did these late war Mauser P.38s come with a variety of phosphated and blued parts or were they usually one surface treatment or the other and only the blued barrels found on the unusual "dual-tone" pistols.
P32 the dual tone pistols began in the late b block in December of 1944 and continued the late f block of March 1945 only at the Mauser plant. The phosphate parts were the frame, slide stop and take down lever. The slide, the hammer and the extractor. None of the interior parts were phosphate coated. Later there a few P.38's in the e and f blocks that have the barrel also phosphate coated. I don't have one of those yet.
