Sauer and Son 38H
« on: May 22, 2015, 07:25:10 AM »
I picked this up yesterday from my FFL.  Purchase was from Legacy Collectables.  This is a commercial Sauer 38H these were issued to doctors and anyone else who was required to have a pistol.  The decocker seen on this gun is the forerunner of the Sig-Sauer guns with decockers such as the Sig P-220.

Here are the pictures.

The 38H left side

The 38H right side.

The Eagle/N and serial number .  The Eagle/N was the proof on a NAZI firearms not issued to Military.  Theis gun for instance if it had been a miltary issue it would have an Eagle/37 ( The Sauer and Sohn Heer inspector stamp at the Suhl plant.

The Sauer and Sohn 38H is in caliber 7.65mm

Sweet set Don... love the axis pistols!

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

That Mauser is making me all warm and tingly on the inside. There's no flies on that JPS either. Righteous pistols! I need to get in on that action.

There are several unique features in these pistols. The Mauser HSc safty in safe mode rotates the firing pin up so the  hammer cannot contact it.  The  Mauser also locks back on a empty magazine upon insertion of a full magazine the slide closes and chambers the first round of the new magazine. This gun does have a magazine saftey.

The Sauer 38 shows with its decocker it only works when the saftey is set in off mode.  The pistol is single action (SA) mode. The decocoker then pressed changes the trigger to double action (DA).  You press the decocker again and your back in SA mode.  There is also a magazine saftey must have mag in to fire.

These are some of enhancements and differences.
