Pics of old Para.
« on: April 03, 2017, 12:00:09 PM »
The wood looks a little darker.  There was another thread about this before I got it.

Looks new.  All matching numbers except stock.  Barely looks fired.  Trigger is awful.

Have pics.  Not sure how to upload.

The cleaning kit has cosmo on it.

I know this is a dumb question but is there an easy way to upload pics?

If you want to load individual pics, click on the "IMG" box, it'll say "copied" then you can come over to the Files and use Ctrl+V or whatever the paste function is on your computer.

You need to use the icon above.

Hit the icon and it will insert code.  In between this code, you would then copy and paste the photobucket provided link to your image (I typically use the "direct" link provided by photo bucket, but you can use the IMG or URL link as well and not have to worry about hitting the icon at all.)

So for instance, this image code [iмg]http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p412/seaslob/Screen%20Shot%202017-04-03%20at%2010.51.16%20AM_zpsd55f0wsd.png[/iмg] produces:

from your album.

Hope this helps, nice looking para!  thumb1

Nice para.  thumb1

Thanks a lot!

I noticed a what looked to be a letter N or Z on the stock below the trigger guard.
Could be just a scratch.  The wood is a little darker than my sks.  Maybe age.

Everything matches except. Only the stock and bayo appear to be different.
Creepy trigger.  Might fixed.  Thoughts on triggers?

Will the recoil be different from the 20" barrel?

Thanks!

Looks like an "N" to me..

Triggers.. me, I just shoot it.. and shoot it some more, I don't see it as an uber precision sniper weapon needing an adjustable let off, 1/2 pound pull, overtravel and all that, plus I'm used to Mosins, Nagant and Polish P64 pistols and such too.. just me and my opinion.... :)  I guess you could send it off and have a trigger job done as well..

Will recoil for a 20 incher be different than a what?  Going from a 20 to a 16.5 inch barrel, the biggest difference one would notice would be the noise level, I don't expect you would notice much recoil difference, or maybe I just have never noticed much recoil difference.

After pulling the trigger a few times it didnt seem all that bad.

Not big on tinkering around unecessarily on em.  Not sure what I will do on that one.

Thanks

What about the accuracy?  Or not enough to really notice?

Some claim accuracy is better with a shortened sks.  Its really all about harmonics and could swing either way.
