Question about Anderson lower
« on: June 16, 2016, 05:26:42 AM »
Not sure about ar I have never built one. I was told by a dude he had an Anderson multi caliber lower for sale. I bought it for 40.00 it says 223/556 on it instead of multi caliber. Is this going to matter? I want to run a 7.62x39 upper on it!

Not that it matters but I'd say later if I wanted to I could have the 223/556 stamping removed/scrubbed and then have it re stamped 7.62x39 as it's probably going to be cerakoted anyways.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Agree, it will do x39 just fine.

You can even put x39 ammo in a 5.56mm magazine...just can't put but a few. I don't know why anyone would want to do that anyway!

Or, just go get an x39 mag and load it up full. It will lock up and function just fine. OH, as long as your upper is x39. But I'm guessing you knew that.

The ASC magazines for 7.62X39mm have worked without a problem for us, we paid $15.75 each for them at http://www.44mag.com/category/7_62_x_39_ar_15_magazine ...shipping was $5!

Another inexpensive site we shopped  http://gunmagwarehouse.com/asc-7-62x39-ar-15-20-round-stainless-steel-magazine.html?___SID=U  @ $14.99 with shipping starting @ $5.00.

What about the c products 28 round mags? I'm going to have to get an enhanced firing pin to put in the bolt to shoot the berdan primed cheap ammo!

I've got 10/20/30rd C products defense mags and they have been flawless. I would assume the 28 would be the same.

They might be 30 rounders I don't know. Heard numerous people saying they were 28 rounders?

FWIW, we only use ASC mags with our G9's. Tolerances are best out of all the mags we tried. And the 30's do hold 30. Some of the older ones actually held 33.

Ordered two mags supposed to be new from the GunMagWarehouse site and both were used with insertion marks etc. Seems like the followers bound up easy and there were specs of rust on the floor plates.

Yeah they were both sealed up in the packaging so I don't know.
