I didn't want to hijack the op!  Here are the pics you asked for.  If you want closer pics of something, just let me know!  Forced magazine and no markings on the stock that I can see.

May be one of the nicer ones I have ever seen.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Thanks guys!  As you know, in person it looks way nicer.  My phone, like most, isn't the perfect tool for capturing the best pics.

I actually got that rifle in a trade with a russian sks bbq refurb.  Seemed like a good trade.  I also got my Romanian sks from the same guy!

Hi guys,

I got this rifle in a trade deal.  I knew Romanians were less common, but not having ever seen or held one, I didnt / don't know the value of this particular rifle.  When the trade deal was on, I figured $200 for this rifle.  As far as I knew, they were all like this one.

I am not looking to sell this rifle, but the comments on the condition of this m44. make wonder what you guys think it's worth.

I've seen them kick around in the 275-350 range, or higher for pristine rifle. Price is tied to condition, bore condition, matching numbers ect.  Now another is year, '53 is the most uncommon, low production numbers, '55 next, and '54 is highest production year. Based on a serial number survey, best guesstimate there were 70,000 or so built in those 3 years.
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Just got back from vacation.  :(  The bore is very nice, shines like chrome!  I have not measured the bore or chamber in any way, but the guy that I got it from said it was the most accurate mosin variant he had ever shot.  I have not done anything with this rifle since I got it other than clean, oil, and store it.
